Dr Julie Whooton
Chief Executive Officer
Dr Julie Wooton holds a PhD in Health Inequalities and an MSc in Accountancy and Finance. She is a globally experienced healthcare leader with over 35 years of cross-sector impact across clinical care, operational leadership, and international innovation.
John Whiting
Chief Operating Officer
John joined the NHS in 2020 as a Manager of the Derby City North Primary Care Network. He is a Solicitor with extensive legal and operations experience delivering at scale client/patient services.
Dr Helen Hill
Medical Director
Dr Helen Hill trained at the Park Medical Practice as a registrar, joining the team after completing her training and becoming a Partner in 2005. She enjoys all aspects of her work and has a special interest in diabetes and family planning. She is also the practice lead for prescribing and the ‘place ‘ lead, which involves collaborating with other services to improve access and quality of services for patients locally.
Neil Callow
Finance Director
Neil brings thirty years of experience in senior Finance positions to the team at Primary Healthcare Derby Ltd. His background includes significant periods in Hospital and Foundation Trusts across the country, as well as time in private healthcare and NHS joint ventures.

Jools Roome
Operational Manger
Jools has over 25 years’ experience within Primary Care, working in a wide range of roles and organisations. She is passionate about delivering quality services to improve the health of the local population, to reduce inequalities and to develop system working to improve the patient journey.
Lisa Jeffrey
Office Manager
Lisa started her career in health working in Primary Care, before moving to work for over 15 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a National Sales Manager. She returned to Primary Care in 2016, and has held a variety of managerial positions in General Practices before joining Primary Healthcare Derby.
Ross Naylor
Digital and Transformation Lead
Ross brings a wide and varied experience in health systems and data to the team at PHD. He spent the decade before joining Primary Healthcare Derby working as a Clinical Systems Specialist for two CSUs - supporting deployment and development in Primary, Secondary, Community and Urgent Care environments.
Sue Altoft
Business Manager
Sue has over 20 years' experience in Primary Care as a city centre GP Practice Manager as well as a previous career in Retail Banking.
